WARNING
Newcastle Disease virus may cause a mild inflammation of the eye in humans which lasts for two or three days. Care should therefore be taken when handling the virus to avoid contact with the eyes.
Newcastle disease (ND) and infectious bronchitis (IB) are a permanent threat to the poultry industry. Because of the limited protection provided by maternally-derived antibodies, broiler chickens and pullets need an early immunization.
After vaccinating with ND or IB vaccines, lentogenic vaccine viruses intensively replicate in the respiratory tract mucosa, leading to an inflammatory reaction though. This makes the respiratory tract sensitive to any subsequent viral or bacteriological infection and, consequently, exposes the farm to economic losses.
CEVAC® VITABRON L contains the apathogenic PHY.LMV.42 strain of ND, causing no tracheal lesions even to day-old chicks, and the Massachusetts H120 strain of IB for a perfect balance between safety, and efficacy against virulent strains of Newcastle Disease and Infectious Bronchitis.
ADMINISTRATION AND DOSAGE
Primary vaccination should be carried out with CEVAC® VITABRON L by spray or eye-drop method as from the first day of age.
SIDE EFFECTS
Rarely, catarrhal respiratory symptoms may occur on day 3 to 6 following vaccination but disappear in a few days.
