Dindings Tyson officially commissioned the LaserLife Egginject, an advanced in-ovo vaccination technology developed by Ceva Animal Health. This strategic move reflects Dindings Tyson’s broader vision of embracing technology as a driving force behind sustainable growth while strengthening its commitment to national food security.
Mr. Teh Wee Chye, Executive Chairman of Dindings Tyson Group, emphasized the significance of this technological advancement during the event:
"At Dindings Tyson, we believe that innovation is the cornerstone of success. This belief has driven us to where we are today, producing up to 5.5 million day-old chicks per month. Our journey has been marked by ambitious goals and remarkable achievements since the inception of our hatchery in 1989. We are not just opening a new chapter for our company; we are laying the foundation for ensuring food security in our nation, which remains one of our primary goals."
Dr. Lee Jin-Ee, Country Manager of Ceva Animal Health Malaysia, reiterated Ceva’s commitment to supporting Dindings Tyson and the broader poultry industry:
"Our vision is to bring innovative animal health solutions to the world. We revolutionized the poultry industry by pioneering hatchery vaccination success, supported by groundbreaking hatchery vaccines and monitoring services through our C.H.I.C.K program. Today, we are not merely commissioning a machine in the hatchery; we are reaffirming our commitment to continuously deliver innovation and solutions to Dindings Tyson."
Solidifying A Sustainable Food Supply Chain
The commissioning of the LaserLife Egginject is a clear indication of Dindings Tyson’s focus on long-term value creation. With its emphasis on automation, precision, and speed, this technology has been integrated into Dindings Tyson’s hatchery to improve operational efficiency, increase production capacity, and ensure a reliable supply of high-quality poultry products—further solidifying its contribution to a more sustainable food supply chain.
Upholding Working Environment and People’s Safety
In addition to operational improvements, Dindings Tyson’s integration of LaserLife Egginject directly addresses critical challenges posed by labour shortages. As the availability of skilled labour becomes increasingly unpredictable, automating delicate processes helps the company reduce its reliance on labour-intensive manual tasks, ensuring operational continuity and minimizing disruptions. This technology also significantly reduces the risk of human error, providing a safer work environment for Dindings Tyson’s valued employees, while helping the company maintain its ethical and quality standards.
